The bathing pond has an area of ca. 700 m2 and is certainly a popular relaxation spot for our guests. The pond is a private facility only available to our guests:

• enough sun loungers and parasol
• Bathing house with changing room, fridge and eating area
• 2 wooden piers
• 1 pedalo for up to 5 persons
• 1 jump stone (h = ca. 1 m), jump into the cool water
• Secluded, surrounded by nature and available to you at any time

The bathing pond is fed with natural spring water, absolutely free of any chemicals. The sunlight shines on the fine shingle beach where water temperatures can reach up to 25 °C.

Depth: The depth between the fine shingle beach and the two wooden piers varies from 1 to 80 cm. The majority of the pond is ca. 160 cm deep, with a small area around the jump stone having a depth of 250 cm.

Whether your idea of relaxation by the water is swimming, losing yourself in a page-turner on the wooden pier or simply lazing in the sun, the pond is the perfect place to unwind and switch off - in the morning, afternoon, or evening.

We are located in the midst of one of the most diverse alpine regions in Austria, surrounded by Grasberge mountain (up to 1,500 m), Steinberge mountain (up to 2,700 m above sea level) and the High Alps (up to 3,797 m - the Großglockner mountain):

On the Steinberge (up to 2,600 m):

• Riemannhaus inn ca. 2.5 hr and then on to the summits in the area (Sommerstein, Breithorn, Schöneck, Wurmkogel, etc.)
• Via Riemannhaus inn to Kärlingerhaus inn and then on to the Lake Königsee .... a wonderful full-day hike with ca. 9 hr walking time
• Peter Wiechenthalerhütte inn ca. 2 hr and then on to various summits or passes (Persailhorn, Mitterhorn, Aalhorn, Weißbachscharte, etc.)
• Passauerhütte inn ca. 3 hr and then on to Birnhorn mountain
• Hochkönig mountain with the Matrashaus inn at the summit, ca. 6 hr
• This is just a small selection of the countless ways to explore Steinberge mountain

These tours require a head for heights, sure-footedness and the proper equipment as well as good physical condition and alpine experience to ensure the adventure is not only fun, but also a memorable, positive experience.
